I'm Randy Mouri and this blog is about my quest to be an official finisher in the Race Across AMerica (RAAM), the toughest endurance race in the world. It's over and I became an official solo finisher in 11 days, 1 hour and 13 minutes! We continue to raise money and awareness on behalf of Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia (Habitat NoVa). If you would like to make a donation to Habitat NoVa, please visit my page on Habitat’s site. Endless thanks to our sponsors and all the folks that have made such generous contributions. Team Mouri would not have been able to travel so comfortably, which certainly may have changed the outcome of the race.

TS 20

Randy reached Time Station 20 in Trinidad, CO at 2115. Randy has now covered 1130miles. Only 1860 to go.

The penalty from the earlier post is a 15minute penalty

The picture is of the RV is which Randy is probably resting as I type.

Good job Randi, you are almost at the half way make, keep pushing and stop with the penalty or you will have to start all over.

Hi Team Randy, Just checked with the My Athlete people to find out why Randy is not listed on their site and there is no tracking information there. They said the Shadow GPS tracker in the follow vehicle has been unplugged and drained for four days. Didn't know if you were aware of this so I thought I would let you know it is not functioning. We, at Mercury, have been following the RAAM site to stay up to date.

GO RANDY! We know you can do it and are cheering you on!

Randy,
You are doing great! Keep the pedals turning. I saw the post about stopping near a tree in the desert. I'll bet it is the same tree where we stopped in 1990 during RAAM. It wsa the only one we could find!

Ok Randy, remember that song by Argent 'Hold Your Head Up' well I thought the lyrics were quite fitting for RAAM. Kick butt!

And if it's bad
Don't let it get you down, you can take it
And if it hurts
Don't let them see you cry, you can take it

Hold your head up (Randy), hold your head up (Randy)
Hold your head up (Randy), hold your head high (Randy)

And if they stare
Just let them burn their eyes on you moving
And if they shout
Don't let them change a thing what you're doing

Hold your head up (Randy), hold your head up (Randy)
Hold your head up (Randy), hold your head high (Randy)

Smooches!
Cindy
