I'm Randy Mouri and this blog is about my quest to be an official finisher in the Race Across AMerica (RAAM), the toughest endurance race in the world. It's over and I became an official solo finisher in 11 days, 1 hour and 13 minutes! We continue to raise money and awareness on behalf of Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia (Habitat NoVa). If you would like to make a donation to Habitat NoVa, please visit my page on Habitat’s site. Endless thanks to our sponsors and all the folks that have made such generous contributions. Team Mouri would not have been able to travel so comfortably, which certainly may have changed the outcome of the race.

Where is he going?

If you have been using the RAAM site's Map of Progress feature, you may notice that Randy is headed for the "Four Corners ". This is where Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah meet. and is the home of the Navajo Nation and the Ute tribe. Randy is heading into the Four Corners area as he heads for for the next TS in Kayenta, AZ.

You get bonus points for finding Kayenta without using Google/Yahoo/etc. to search :-)

Just read the Bruce Lee quote on Randy's RAAM bio. Be water, my friend -- there's not much of it in 4 Corners! Keep pedaling... we're sending you energy from Greenbriar.

Hey Randy!! ...you will soon enter a truly remarkable spiritual place in Southern Colorado. I hope you feel its' energy and magic.... Living in Colorado now for almost 20 years, the girls and I have learned about and developed an appreciation for Native American Animal Spirits. The animal spirits have been our guides for the last few years teaching us many wonderful things. Whatever animal you see or feel connected with during this race is the animal spirit that has graced you with it's special characteristics and traits. Think about the animals' natural characteristics. Each carries unique attributes such as cunning, protective armour, strength, instinct, fearlessness, stubburness. Whatever it is, may the animal spirits be with you and guide you on your journey. XO Patti, Kelsi and Sydni
