I'm Randy Mouri and this blog is about my quest to be an official finisher in the Race Across AMerica (RAAM), the toughest endurance race in the world. It's over and I became an official solo finisher in 11 days, 1 hour and 13 minutes! We continue to raise money and awareness on behalf of Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia (Habitat NoVa). If you would like to make a donation to Habitat NoVa, please visit my page on Habitat’s site. Endless thanks to our sponsors and all the folks that have made such generous contributions. Team Mouri would not have been able to travel so comfortably, which certainly may have changed the outcome of the race.

Your Comments
Just so you know, the Crew does read the blog (correcting my errors) and your comments. Randy gets your comments read to him over the PA system (remember those speakers on the roof of the van?). Your messages of support and encouragement really help him stay motivated. So please keep them coming. Thanks.

Thanks for letting us know. LOVE following Randy on this amazing journey. He's worked so hard for this!!! You all are awesome!
You are welcome MG.I don't think anybody's come down from the excitement of getting going yet. According to the vets, that takes three days. So starting tomorrow sometime, we really need you comments and encouragement.
Go Randy!!!! The Mercury team is behind you 100%!
Give Randy an Allez! from me. I'm amazed and thrilled to follow you all across the country. A talented rider and a great team supporting him. Safe, strong and steady pedaling.
I was telling my chiropractor about Randy's ride and crew today. He thought I was making the whole thing up, what with the no more than 4 hrs per day of sleeping, 300 miles per day, etc. I had to assure him he could check the RAAM website to verify! Way to go Randy!!
We were doing the math this morning while enjoying our Friday breakfast with SPP and passing our best to Randy and the team by phone.
I'm sure you already realize this. But you'll complete the equivalent of 2 R-12 series plus a few bonus miles by time you reach Annapolis.
Stay safe, have fun and God Speed.

Sharing your amazing ride with my work friends here at Kaiser Permanente Mammography Department in Denver. We are all cheering you on!!! Lots of love and hugs! Patti
Randy, I just saw you looking good in the daily summary video on the RAAM site. You are doing absolutely great. All of us DC Randonneurs are very proud of you.
Go Randy! Now NONE of my friends can call me crazy when I tell them what you are doing :-) The Fitzgeralds are pulling for you - Kiley even asked me on the way home from the pool today if I would log on to make sure you made it to your next time station!
oh just thinking of you as I sit here on my couch on a Friday night. Sending you all positive thoughts. I have told so many of my friends about your quest.
They think you are the nuts!
God bless you and keep you and your crew safe.

Keep pushing, the class and people at the gym are cheering you on.
Good Luck and keep hammering it out.
Randy, you inspire us! Dave road his bike 30 miles yesterday and I thought about riding mine. Remember, don't let any other riders come inside you.
