I'm Randy Mouri and this blog is about my quest to be an official finisher in the Race Across AMerica (RAAM), the toughest endurance race in the world. It's over and I became an official solo finisher in 11 days, 1 hour and 13 minutes! We continue to raise money and awareness on behalf of Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia (Habitat NoVa). If you would like to make a donation to Habitat NoVa, please visit my page on Habitat’s site. Endless thanks to our sponsors and all the folks that have made such generous contributions. Team Mouri would not have been able to travel so comfortably, which certainly may have changed the outcome of the race.

Saw some pics of Randy and crew on the RAAM media tab, looking strong and healthy! I've been to Kayenta and Mexican Hat on my way to Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. Beautiful country, too bad Randy is riding through it at night! Hope you have a good night Randy and are able to stay cooler now that you're out of the desert.

Randy,

It's 2shoes. I haven't slept a wink since you started. I have decicded to stay awake until you cross the finish line. Do you think you could finish by the 18th, I'm really getting sleepy.:>) Lena, Vince, and I are thinking about you every waking moment, and most of our family conversations are centered around your amazing quest. We are all so proud of you, and you are truly an inspiration to everyone who knows you. Crew 422, keep up the good work, and take good care of our boy. Hi Q love and miss you a bunch. Can't wait to see you guys in Annapolis.

In the RAAM interview I think I heard Randy say "I'm kinda a weenie" (comparing himself to those riding 40-50 hrs to their rest stops). Dude, to those who ride mere 200k's you're a god.

Go Randy GO!

good morning to Randy and Crew. Today your ride is going to be my "avoid the brain drain" summer geography lesson for Tommy. It helps that it is on the computer!! Ride steady, ride on....love to see "Randy is climbing in the standings....." Just do your own ride and you will rock! Hi Suz! I wish I was there with you, but I know you're glad I am not (that whole sleep dep thing and me don't mix, as you unfortunately know!!) Ha! Great memories! be strong crew

Randy -- a 1200K in two and a half days! Way to kick a little butt, dude.

Closing on the leaders now. Get a little sleep. You'll run those guys down on the other side of the Mississippi.

Go! Go! Go!

-- Greg

PS - You looked WAY too good on the video!
