I'm Randy Mouri and this blog is about my quest to be an official finisher in the Race Across AMerica (RAAM), the toughest endurance race in the world. It's over and I became an official solo finisher in 11 days, 1 hour and 13 minutes! We continue to raise money and awareness on behalf of Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia (Habitat NoVa). If you would like to make a donation to Habitat NoVa, please visit my page on Habitat’s site. Endless thanks to our sponsors and all the folks that have made such generous contributions. Team Mouri would not have been able to travel so comfortably, which certainly may have changed the outcome of the race.

The Gude Family wants to applaud the phenomenal job the crew has done keeping our boy healthy, safe, and almost a qualified RAMM finisher. You guys are an inspiration to all that have followed this incredible event. As for Randy, there are numerous adjectives that come to mind when we try and contemplate what you are about to accomplish, but they are all dwarfed by the intestinal fortitude, and strenght that you have displayed throughout the race so we won't even try other than to say we are so proud of you and love you very much. SEE YA IN ANNAPOLIS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go randy
Go randy
Hugs, elena

Bring it on home, Randy!
Hey there, Randy Mouri, we can't wait to hear the whole RAAM story;
How you climbed ever strong & bold, the mountains high & oh so cold;
You rode right through the desert heat, while other riders met defeat;
Though we worried about your loss of weight, you calmed our fears when ice cream you ate;
Then came the hail and rains, but you sailed right through those windy plains;
And now with legs a-throbbing and head a-bobbing, you continue to pedal with strength and pride, knowing that across the country you did ride;
No longer are you just RAAM qualified, a RAAM FINISHER you will be bona fide!
Go Randy Go!!!
Bring it on home, Randy!
See you at the finish,
Bev
No more hail on your helmet or fish in your spokes; no more slugs in your chainring, just smooth pedal strokes;
The finish is in sight, the end is so near; hurry to Annapolis so we can buy you a beer.
P.S. Roses are red, violets are blue, Dave's still not wearing underwear, and neither are you.
Go Randy go!
Go Randy go!
Go Randy go!
Go Randy go!
Almost there, man....a lifetime goal right there in sight. Go get it!!
Randy, As the SPP group rode back from seeing you last night, we reflected on your accomplishment... In the span of 11 days you will have riddent 4 PBP's or over 24 - 200k's. You have earned two R12's... but more importantly you are living YOUR dream!
You ARE a fu*%in' rock star!
See you in Annapolis.
Randy is red, Randy is blue,
We're here in Boulder Colorado rootin for you.
You left us in the dust a week ago,
After leaving Colorado and increasing your tempo.
We're so impressed by your endurance and strength,
You've tapped that part of you to go the length.
With your buns burnin in the saddle and your chin in the rest,
You're giving it your all, you are the BEST.
I could go on and on with my poem, but for the crew member reading this, I'll bring it on home.
Congratulations to Susie and Crew, You've done an awesome job~We are so proud of you all too!!
In the days that follow, oh how you'll be sore,
Just remember, Randy...You are ALL THAT!
and so much more!!!
XO RIDE ON RANDY!!
Hi Randy from Reisterstown, MD!!
Yet another location of crazy Randy fans! You and your team are nothing short of fantastic. You are an inspiration to all of us mid-lifers.
Hopefully this short message will bring back some distant memories, helping to serve as a nice distraction from the passing miles.
I raise my glass and my admiration to you.
Hang in there.
Nick
Ride like the wind, Randy you are in the home stretch. Hope to see you in Mt. Airy. It's all down hill as you ride to sea level.
